ASL Framework Workshop Co-chairs:

  • Roberta Johnson (Chair and PI), Director of UCAR’s Office of Education and Outreach and Executive Director of the National Earth Science Teacher Association (NESTA)
  • John Snow (Co-chair and Co-PI), Dean of the University of Oklahoma’s College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences, Director of Oklahoma Weather Center Programs, and Professor of Meteorology.

The Co-chairs provide expertise and well-established connections that bridge the Nation’s leading research, education, and professional societies.

The Organizing Committee supports the Chairs by helping to plan, implement, and promote the workshop and its product to meet the overall objective, while also seeking support for this effort from leadership of other agencies and organizations. Members will disseminate and utilize workshop outcomes and its connections within the science, education, and public policy communities to suggest next steps to be taken toward attaining a goal of atmospheric science and climate literacy for the nation.
